Elementary: Category leaders
There has been a changing of the guard in this category for the first time in three years.
Smallwood Drive School of Amherst stood No. 1 among Western New York's elementary schools from 2007 through 2009, the first years in which the rankings of public and private schools were combined.
But Olean's Southern Tier Catholic has pushed past Smallwood in 2010, taking the top spot for the first time.
